Zola
The name Zola means ‘ball
of earth’. A ball of earth
can mean many things but the interpretation of the name is that Zola is
one who stands on a firm foundation.
The firm foundation upon which he stands is his faith in God, the
only true and sure foundation. When Zola has given his life over to the
Lordship of Jesus Christ he indeed makes his foundation sure and in doing
so he receives a confidence in himself and what he does.
To some Zola may appear to
be arrogant and a braggart or at the least very self-assured. If he is not
working under the influence of God’s Holy Spirit this could very well be
the case. Therefore Zola has
to be very careful to not let himself get carried away with the confidence
he has in himself and his abilities.
It is imperative for him to rely on God’s Holy Spirit to help him
realize what all he can do in and of himself.
When Zola does completely
submit himself to the will of the Lord he becomes a package of dynamite to
be used to cause an explosion in the Kingdom of God.
The Lord has need of men to be confidante and sure enough of
themselves and the God they serve to be able to fulfill the Great
Commission to which we all have been called.
2Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren,
give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these
things, ye shall never fall:
