Yana

The name Yana means ‘a bear’. A bear of a person would be discourteous, ill mannered, rude or at least ungracious. When God created Yana, He did not intend for him to behave in such a manner. He wanted Yana to turn to the Savior of his soul to be changed into His likeness. Jesus is kind and gentle, meek and mild and the epitome of grace. That is the nature that God intends for Yana to have also. When God looks upon Yana, He looks upon him through the shed blood of His Son and He sees Yana as being full of grace.

Although he may appear to be a ‘bear’ to some it is because he is one who plays cards close to his chest. He does not quickly or easily expose what is in his inward man. He sometimes appears to be pretty gruff or grouchy. The expression, ‘His growl is worse that his bite’ holds true for Yana. However, once one gets past the growl, a very tender and sweet person can be found ready and willing to help, listen or just be there.

As those who know the Lord in an intimate way know how He brings joy into their lives, then so too those who know Yana very will know the same about him.

2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus
