Tommie

     The name Tommie means 'twin'. The interpretation of this name is "seeker of truth". The Lord Jesus Christ is the Truth and it is His desire that we all seek Him for He is the answer to all our needs and desires. After Tommie has given her all to the Lord to be transformed into the Image of Christ He then reveals His Truth to her. She then is able to reveal this same truth to others.

     Tommie searches out a matter thoroughly and ponders it in her heart before she takes any action. She has to be certain, be sure. This may make her appear at times to be wishy-washy and not know how to make up her mind. She is not one that takes just any one person's word or opinion, she goes the second mile in making sure that what she believes to be true is really the truth. This is not because she is a 'doubting Thomas’, but more because she believes that seeing is believing. When she finally gets hold of what she deems to be the right way to go, she goes with her heart as well as her mind.

     She is a woman who can be trusted to do the right thing in a tight situation because she holds the truth in such high esteem. Many things may be told her that may or may not be true. She can be trusted to keep quiet about these private matters until she knows in her heart what is good, true and right. She then can give good sound and wise counsel because she knows the Source of all Truth.
