Staton
The name Staton means 'crowned with laurels'.
In ancient times laurel crowns were bestowed as a mark of honour,
especially on civil officials and returning warriors. Therefore to be
crowned with laurels would be a sign of honor and here, in the
interpretation of this name, it would be honor that comes from the Lord.
To
be crowned with honor would be to be held in great esteem and have great
influence over others. Staton does have a special kind of influence with God
and because of the heart God has placed within him and therefore influence
over people. He has a way of convincing others to see things from his point
of view. Staton could use this influence to persuade people to do things
that are not right if he hadn't given his heart and soul to the Lord for His
use and His kingdom.
Staton has a special place in God's heart.
Because of the unction of the Holy Spirit, this is what Staton prays
for and wants for others also. God’s
purpose for Staton is to for him to lead others to Him.
In this He is glorified and in turn He will give glory to Staton.
Isa 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the
hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
