To truly listen is to pay attention to what is being said. It is also being able to read the body language of the speaker as well as hearing the tone of voice being used. Samantha, once she has given her life to the Lord Jesus Christ, has her spiritual ears opened to clearly hear His voice. In prayer Samantha has learned that communication with her God consists of listening to Him through reading His Word or hearing Him with her heart. Here is where she learns what it is that He wants her to speak and also the things He would have her to do. Once she does hear what the Lord says she then has a divine mission to tell others what it is that she has heard Because of this Samantha is
enabled to be a good listener to those whom God places in her life. During
these times of intimacy with the Lover of her soul, Samantha has had her
spiritual ears fine-tuned to the sounds of the moving of His Spirit. She hears and understands and empathizes. This is what makes
Samantha a good friend to people and a friend of God. Like 11:28 . . . blessed are they that heart the Word of God, and keep it.
