name Ruth means ‘friendship’. Jesus
Christ is the Friend of friends, loyal, steadfast and true. When Ruth allows
Jesus to come into her life to change her heart, she then becomes like this
same kind of friend. This is
why the Lord has sent her into the world, to show the friendship and
fellowship of living for the Lord. Ruth is more than a friend; she is the friend whom God sends when no one else will fit the bill. She stays to the end and she doesn't quit or give up when she believes in someone. Friendship with Ruth is not a light thing. For her, it is based on commitment, not necessarily emotion. She goes a very long way before she ever even considers giving up on someone. There are those who seem to be the fair weather type but not Ruth. Once she has established a friendship, it usually is for a lifetime. She may or may not be out-going, talkative or lively. However, it doesn’t matter how she acts in the natural. You can rest assured that if Ruth is your friend it matters little how it is expressed. What matters is that she there for you when you need her and she stays to the end.
