Robin

The name Robin means 'a small bird'. After a long cold winter the Robin is a welcome sign that Spring is here or at least very near. It welcomes in the new season with its beautiful songs. Robin is one who, like a bird, flies from place to place filling her world with song and beauty.  But there is more to what Robin is called to do than what can be seen with the eye.

We are all called to some purpose in God's Kingdom here on Earth. Whether or not Robin has been given a trained voice with which to sing, she must sing.  Some have messages to preach, others a story to tell. But Robin must sing She is called to sing when she doesn't feel like singing. She must sing for others who cannot sing.  She must sing to lift the spirits of those who are down. She must sing with others to be able to rejoice

with them. The song she has to sing is the Song of Salvation, the Good News that Jesus is coming soon.

Robin must look pretty and be a welcome sight to see. In the natural a Robin is helpful in that it eats insects and is welcomed by most gardeners.  In the spiritual sense Robin would be one who attacks and gets rid of irritating pests sent to aggravate and impede a Christian's walk. We all have long cold spells in our lives at times.  Robin is sent to help us to see that there is an end to all things and always a new beginning.

Phl 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
