Porsha
The name Porsha means 'an offering’.
An offering is something that is sacrificed and given to the Lord. Porsha
becomes an offering that is well pleasing in the sight of the Most High God
when she surrenders her whole life and will to Him. God sends her in and
among His people to be an example of His great love for them.
Her exemplary life sets her apart from most
worshippers. Her spirit is grieved when she witnesses others not honoring
God in their lives. She strives to show them how much God loves them by the
way she offers herself as a living sacrifice. In this, others take advantage
of her. However, Porsha feels it is a great honor for God to single her out
to withstand or endure a hardship of some kind from which others shy away.
Porsha’s sweet spirit and manner endears her to many. To know her is to
know God’s heart. He gave His all for His children. He expects no less
from her.
This may make it sound as if Porsha is a saint
who never gets upset or her feelings hurt. This is not true. What is true is
that as Porsha learns more and more from the example Christ has set, she is
more and more able to exemplify these traits in her own life.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which
is your reasonable service.
