Penelope
The name Penelope weans 'a weaver'. When applied spiritually weaving has
more to do with the inner intricate workings of a persons' heart rather than
the work done with the hands. When the Tabernacle in the wilderness was
being built God gave certain ones of His people the wisdom, or
special ability to do perform special functions. Weaving was one of
those things. When Penelope gives her hands, heart and soul to the Master
Weaver, she then has the wisdom and spiritual ability to see what the Lord would
have her to see.
In the plain everyday way of looking at that
word, 'weave' one would think that it would only have to do with the making
of some kind of cloth. But when you look in the Bible and how God looks at
the ability He gives people to do even mundane things, then it takes on a
different characteristic altogether. .
Penelope, or Penny as some may affectionately
call her, may appear to be on the surface, an ordinary kind of woman who
doesn't try to pry into peoples' private affairs. Whether she is talkative,
quiet or even shy, Penelope still manages to find out things about people
without them being aware of her doing so. She doesn't to do this to be nosy,
it is more because she finds people and the way they act, the things they do
and say to be intriguing. God has a purpose for this. This purpose is for
her to gain the insight she needs to be able to understand better how to
pray and even maybe give Godly council and advice.
Pro 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the
law of kindness.
