Pauline

     The name Pauline is the feminine form of Paul and means 'little'. To word little means a small amount, quantity, or degree, according to the dictionary. Scripturally speaking to be little would simply mean having no strength of your own and thereby having to be dependant upon God, for everything. Pauline, when she understands just how small and helpless she is in her spirit man can then turn to her Maker who will make her a giant of a man through the power of God's Holy Spirit.

     Everyone at one time or another feels inadequate for the task set before them. Pauline does too. However Pauline has learned to turn to God to help her and be her strength. By doing so she is able to do many things that causes her to shake her head in amazement for she knows that in herself she simply is not able. She understands the weaknesses of her fellow man and therefore is an apt listener and counselor for those who come to her. And others do come to her. They come because they see the things in life she has overcome, the things she has accomplished and the goals she sets and achieves.

     Pauline's greatest gift is knowing just how small, weak and vulnerable she is without God. She is not pretentious or puffed up in herself. When Pauline feels she is small, that is when she is standing tall in God's eyes.
