Molly

The basic meaning of the name Molly means 'bitter' and comes from the Biblical spice myrrh which when tasted is bitter.  However, when this same spice is used to anoint something in order to offer it up on an altar to God and then burnt, it releases a sweet smelling aroma, which is very pleasing to God. When Molly gives her all to the Lord Jesus Christ and allows Him to help her turn the bitter things that come into her life into a loving sacrifice unto Him, put them on the altar of His love the bitter things then become sweet smelling fragrances unto Him.

This is what Molly’s life is all about.  The sun shines on the just and unjust just as does the rain. She can choose whether or not to let the bitter things that come her way cause her to be bitter or she can give these things to the Lord and let Him cause her to become better than she could ever hope to be on her own.  Molly may not have any more problems in her life than the rest of us but the way she handles these problems is different.  Molly chooses to let the Lord use these things to make her better, into the woman of God she was meant to be.  As she leans more and more upon the Lord, she makes this decision more and more often. As a result she becomes more and more like Jesus Who experienced the bitterest things any man can ever know and chose to let His God use these things to change Him into the Savior He was sent to be.

Molly is can be a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dreary world.  She makes hamburger seem like steak and turns the dullest of times into simply a time of introspection.  She can cause what may look like mountains to most of us seem like just big hills.  It may take Molly more time and more effort to accomplish what God has given her but by the face she presents to the world it is a secret between her and God. She knows that the Lord will not put more on her than she can bear and she trusts in Him to keep His Word concerning her. This is what causes the sweet smelling fragrance unto God.
