Linda

The name Linda means 'pretty or beautiful'. This meaning has to do with wisdom and discernment rather than her physical attributes since it concerns her emotional or spiritual self rather than her face or body. The meaning of this name originates from the word used to describe the serpent in the Garden of Eden: sutile. This word means prudent, crafty, shrewd, sly, and sensible, wise and discerning. The serpent had evil plans he wanted carried out but Linda, used of the Lord has a different agenda.

With the Lord's power and influence in her life Linda finds that many come to her for advice. In her life she has to make some hard choices but, however difficult it may be, she does make the right decisions in the end. She learns to chose her friends wisely and is a good friend in return.

She can usually tell when she is being told the truth or a bald faced lie. The discernment the Lord has given her helps her to decide how to act or react in these situations. Linda is one who can not only be trusted for good and wise counsel but one who also makes wise decisions in her own life as well.
