Laura

The name Laura means 'crowned with laurels'. In ancient times laurel crowns were bestowed as a mark of honor, especially on civil officials and returning warriors. Therefore to be crowned with laurels would be a sign of honor and here, in the interpretation of Laura's name, it would be honor received of the Lord.

To be crowned with honor would be to be held in great esteem and hold great influence over others.  Laura is one who is able to reach the thrown room of heaven on the behalf of others.  Not that they are not able to pray for their own selves, but Laura has a special place in God's heart.  This is because God's heart is to see His children do well and prosper.  This is what Laura prays for and wants for others also.

Laura does have a special kind of influence with God because of the heart He has placed within her but she also has great influence over people too.  She has a way of convincing others to see things from her point of view.  Laura could use this influence to persuade people to do things that are not right if she hadn't given her heart and soul to the Lord for His use.

His purpose for her is for her to lead others to Him.  In this He is glorified and in turn He will give glory to Laura.

Isa 62:3  Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
