Just as a baby learns to walk in the physical, Kris has to learn to walk in the spiritual realm. He learns this walk by studying God’s Holy Word. Once Kris has wholly given his life over to the Lord then his footsteps will be directed in the way he should go. We are all to walk in the ways of the lord. He is our Model. Kris just has a stronger drive within his sprit to copy Jesus than most of us do. Kris is not more spiritually minded than the average Christian. However the Lord has put a strong desire in him to find the ways most pleasing to God. At times those around Kris find him to be a bit more spiritually minded than they are and at times this makes them feel a bit uncomfortable. Kris looks and acts just like the next guy in that he is not a super-saint that spends all his time at the church house. He works and plays in the everyday world, thinks and ponders on the here and now just like anybody else. His heart and spirit, on the other hand, are not always so.
