Kenneth
The name Kenneth means 'handsome' which, in the spiritual sense, has
to do with his wisdom and discernment rather than his physical attributes. The meaning of his name originates with the word used to
describe the serpent in the Garden of Eden, sutile.
This words means: prudent,
crafty, shrewd, and also sly, sensible, wise and discerning.
The serpent used his abilities for evil but Kenneth, after giving his
heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, is used as an instrument of good for God's
people.
Kenneth
has all the attributes described above and has many occasions in his life to
put them to good use. He finds
that many come to him for advice and he usually does this without mincing
his words. He is not one to be
rude or unkind, just speaks the truth in love, in peace, not ruthlessly. He
can frequently tell whether or not he is being told
the truth or a bald faced lie and acts accordingly. He
knows the difference between sincere appreciation and down and out flattery.
Kenneth
picks his friends wisely and is a good friend in return.
He uses discernment when faced with making hard choices and when
trusting in God, he can rely on his own judgment. Therefore, those who do come to him can come to him in
confidence, knowing that Kenneth is one in whom one can trust and rely.
Proverbs
14:18 . . . the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
