These other meanings can be, among other meanings not listed here, free from corrupt desire, every admixture of what is false, and also sincere, genuine and singleness of heart. The last exemplifies the true interpretation of Kaitlyn's name. Kaitlyn is one who follows the dictates of her heart. She does listen to others, seriously considering what she is told. However, Kaitlyn has to listen to her inner self. She applies the old saying, "To thine own self be true" to the decisions she has to make. This may make her seem to disregard what others tell her, but not so. She just has to be true to her heart and convictions. She is moved by compassion, logic and public opinion.
