Jon-Marc
The name
Jon-Marc, being a hyphenated name, has two meanings combined into one. Jon
means 'God's gracious gift.' and Marc means 'a god of war'. The word gift
scripturally denotes extraordinary powers that distinguish certain
Christians to be able to serve the church of Christ. Marc comes
from Marcus, the god of war therefore Marc would be one to wage war against
the enemy of the church of Christ. Combined these two names would be
interpreted as a man who is a warrior sent from God, used as a tool or
weapon to defeat the enemy.
God would have all men to be
peaceable and to get along with everybody as much as is possible. However,
when dealing with the adversary the way of peace will not get the job done.
Jon-Marc has to ruthless and not give in at any time or in any way. To truly
be successful on the battlefield Jon-Marc first has to be successful in the
prayer closet. That is where he learns his battle
strategies and techniques. And while in the presence of the Most High God he
is endued with the power he needs to be able to overcome the enemy.
Jon-Marc, as just one more man
that attends church, is most likely a really likeable guy and a real asset
to his church and the family of God in general. But he is a fearsome foe to
be reckoned with in the spiritual realm.
1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on
eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good
profession before many witnesses.
