The meanings of these two names are 'Jehovah has added' and 'Calmness'. Scripturally interpreted the name meaning, 'Jehovah has added' means 'increasing faithfulness' while the word calmness is 'to be free from agitation'. Therefore, together they would have the interpretation of 'faith that increases through a calm spirit'. By the very nature of her name Jo Del has always had to have a quite spirit within her, regardless of how she may appear to others. Because of the call on her life by the Lord Jesus Christ Jo Del has had to overcome quite a few obstacles in her lifetime. But by remaining calm, at least in her spirit man, she learns through each episode just how much the Lord does truly love her and how He trusts her. Jo Del has become strong, dependable and trustworthy. Not one to lose her head in a stormy situation, she makes wise and mature decisions. Her faith has been put to the test and found to be steadfast.
