Jack

The name Jack is a shortened form of Jacob and means 'supplanter'. Interpreted this means one who is untruthful and not to be trusted. However, when looked upon through the blood of Jesus, as God sees him, the name Jack means 'one who is true and trustworthy'. To tell the truth is a good thing and certainly being trustworthy is too. But Jack does more than that.

He is a friend of friends, loyal, steadfast and true. He is more than ones best friend; he is the friend God sends when no one else will fit the bill. He stays to the end; he doesn't quit or give up when he believes a thing is right. Sometime, when issues get a little cloudy, Jack is the one who will help you see what is right and the right way to go.

Jack does more than just tell the truth; he walks it. Some may think he is a little stiff and a stickler for his ideals. The saying, "To thine own self be true . . . “ holds true for Jack. Others may think he is all wet and a stickler for what he believes is right. God has put these values within him. Jack can't help but walk the walk in which He has led him.

Ephesians 4:24 . . . put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
