Henry

     The name Henry means 'one that rules’.  Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is our ruler.  He sets the standards by which we are to live our lives.  God has chosen Henry to do the same in his own life that others may follow his example and ultimately to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.  A ruler makes decisions, not only in his own life but in others as well. 

     Henry may not feel that this is what he is doing, but he is nonetheless.  He does this by making some choices, right or wrong and then influencing others to do the same.  Those around him tend to do what he does, like he does and when he does.

    Henry can be hero or just one who rules with a hard hand.  But when he follows the direction of the Holy Spirit in his life, he exercises control in his own life by doing what he knows is the right thing to do. Henry is not wishy-washy when it comes to his beliefs or standards. When these are modeled after the principals of the Word of God he then has the favor of God upon his life. 

Pro 25:28    He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
