Grady

The name Grady means ‘noble’. To be noble means to have the quality of being exalted in character or ideals or conduct. Grady gets a raise in his rank, character, and status when he accepts the Lord of Lords to reign in his life. This is not to say that Grady was a low life before he was saved, just in the spiritual realm no one is ‘good enough’ by doing things his own way. Not only is Grady’s life improved by making Jesus the center of his life, but also those of the family of God here on Earth.

Never being truly satisfied with any condition or position in which he finds himself, Grady is restless until things change, for the better, and soon. Not necessarily impatient by nature he nonetheless seeks change like others seek constancy. The grass nearly always looks better on the other side of the fence to him. That may sound like a negative quality but he is not satisfied unless others see the need for the change themselves and want to come along with him.

Consequently, as one born of nobility, he wants to be of help to others that are not as fortunate as he. Just as he is not satisfied with the status quo in his own life, neither is he satisfied watching his brothers and sisters settling for the same when there is so much more in the kingdom of God for all to enjoy.

James 2:8 . . . fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself . . .
