The greatest place in which one should be in authority is in one’s spirit. Peace is not just the absence of struggles or turmoil. It is the assurance in the innermost part of your being that all is right, that God is in control. Once Fred has allowed the Prince of Peace to enter his heart and take control of his life he then learns what true peace is. Since he does allow peace to rule in his inner man Fred tries to let peace rule everything in his life. He tries to follow peace in all his ways. He is not one to be bossy or over powering, although he may appear that way to those who do not know him well. Being a peaceful man does not necessarily make a man quiet and meek. Fred is able to take care of the situations that confront him and those God has placed in his life. He tries the most peaceful way first, taking it to God, trusting Him to lead him to do the right thing. After doing so Fred is able to walk with the family of God in peace. It is this peace that he has with his God that draws people to him and causes him to be able to give comfort to them in their time of need. Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts. . .
